Your First Visit
What happens during my first chiropractic visit?
Your first visit starts with a consultation, where we listen to what’s bothering you and what you want to accomplish. From there, we move into an examination to evaluate your movement and determine what may be contributing to your problem. We’ll then walk you through our findings and discuss appropriate treatment options, and if you’re a good candidate for care, we’ll develop a plan based on your goals.
Do I need X-rays?
Not every patient needs imaging. Whether X-rays or other imaging would be helpful for your specific case is something Dr. Bone will determine during your evaluation, and care can often begin without them.
Does chiropractic care hurt?
Chiropractic adjustments are generally not painful. Some patients feel mild soreness afterward, similar to what you might feel after light exercise, but this typically resolves quickly. We always explain what to expect before beginning any treatment.
How long does an appointment take?
Your first visit will take longer than follow-up visits since it includes a full consultation and examination. Follow-up appointments are typically quicker, and we’ll give you a better sense of timing once your care plan is in place.

We commonly use laser therapy for back and neck pain, joint pain, sciatica, neuropathy, carpal tunnel syndrome, sports injuries, and plantar fasciitis, among other conditions involving inflammation or soft-tissue irritation.
